Optical Fiber Block
- Experimental Creations

This small partition block is crafted by cutting 2mm-diameter acrylic optical fibers into 25mm lengths and firing approximately 4,000 strands in a ceramic kiln. The inherent properties of optical fibers, capable of transmitting information across vast distances, are repurposed here to transform light and color into tangible pixels.
Thanks to its Ulexite-like fibrous structure (resembling TV stone), subtle fluctuations naturally emerge during production. These imperfections poetically convert familiar scenes and textures into pointillist interpretations, blending digital precision with organic irregularity.
Designed as a versatile material for both products and architecture, it merges information-age technology with the serendipity of traditional craftsmanship.
