“YOKOHAMA MAKERS VILLAGE” is a brand created by metalworking companies with factories in the vicinity of Yokohama City, collaborating on products by combining their respective expertise. This ecosystem thrives on tight collaboration between highly skilled artisans and in-house designers, fostering continuous rediscovery of techniques and pioneering new manufacturing possibilities.

At the 2018 Milan Salone exhibition, a collection of home accessories titled “Reflections and Shadows” was presented, which explored the theme of reflection and shadow to reveal the appeal of metal. Using two types of metal materials, wire and sheet, trays and pen holders were crafted with precise welding techniques. Light interacts with the linear forms to cast dramatic shadows that transform surrounding space, turning functional objects into kinetic sculptures.
