Lantern device for YOASOBI
- siro

Device for interactive content display designed for the Sony Park Exhibition “Semiconductors are Science Fiction” held with YOASOBI at Ginza Sony Park from September 2 to September 13, 2021.
The device allows users to experience the story of the novel that inspired YOASOBI’s new song “Taisho Roman” by peering through a VR lantern modeled after a traditional lantern.
The story connects the Taisho era and the present day through an exchange of letters that transcend time. The design took cues from railway signal lamps featured in the music video, using infrared-transparent acrylic to create a VR tracking system. Content appeared only within the lantern’s projected beam, making each viewing feel like uncovering a secret.
